Hi, im Emma Lokander

I started out studying industrial design at Polhemsgymnasiet. Life took another path and I became a preschool teacher, with a degree from the University of Gothenburg. Those years shaped how I think about behaviour and communication. In 2026 I came back to design and graduated in UX Design from IT-Högskolan.

I'm drawn to complex systems and problems that take time to understand. My work usually starts in research and ends in a prototype that behaves like the real thing. I work mostly in Figma and Framer, with Shopify for e-commerce and Figma Make or Claude Code when a prototype needs real code.

Outside work, life revolves around my two children.
The rest of the time I'm either reading or halfway through repainting something, depending on caffeine levels.
